2008 Rural Coaliton/Coalición Rural AssemblyMark Your Calendars!The Board of the Rural Coalition/Coalición Rural issued a call to attend our 2008 30th Anniversary Assembly. The Board invites all Rural Coalition members and allies to join us from June 5-8, 2008, in Homestead Florida. Departure point for Homestead is Miami, Florida. We will focus on how we as a Coalition can build the movement for justice. Our program will use popular education principles to create our own histories of migration and use these histories to discern our shared position on migration and immigration today. We hope to emerge with new policies and energy on immigration, food sovereignty and other issues critical to rural communities in the US and beyond. All Rural Coalition members groups are urged to bring a delegation. Please share with us your thoughts and ideas for the meeting.
